Step Into Your Power

Writing has always been part of who I am. I weave words into stories, ideas, songs, and images—usually inspired by the people around me, the things I read, and the quiet moments where I can just observe life unfolding.

I’ve realized that when I slow down and quiet my mind, the words come more easily. They’re often shaped by conversations I’ve had, things I’ve noticed, and moments that have stayed with me—some joyful, some difficult, all meaningful in their own way.

Not everything I write is about my own life. I tend to feel and absorb the emotions around me, and those experiences often find their way into my work. It’s less about having answers and more about trying to understand what we all move through – challenges, fears, roadblocks, struggles, hurt, pain and moments of joy.

For a long time, I kept most of my writing to myself—saved on my computer, tucked away in notebooks, or sitting in quiet piles on my desk. Yesterday, something shifted. I was out on a walk, listening to a podcast, and a simple question stuck with me: Why aren’t you sharing your work?

It made me pause.

The answers came quickly—self-doubt, wondering if anyone would care, and the fear of putting something personal out into the world. But sitting with it a little longer, those reasons didn’t feel as strong anymore.

Wisdom arrives at the right moment for each of us—the moment we’re truly ready to hear it and take action. That second part is key. We can hear a message, but it doesn’t change anything until we decide what to do with it.

So, I’ve decided to start sharing.

Over the years, I’ve written song lyrics, poems, short stories, a fictional memoir, children’s books, and articles for new parents. I’ve even spoken at women’s events. Most people don’t know that about me—and maybe that’s the point. It’s time they do.

I do have a children’s book coming out soon, which I’m incredibly excited about, but it’s just one part of what I’ve created. There’s more I feel ready to share.

This feels like the right time.

If something I share resonates with you, that means a lot. And if it’s not for you, that’s okay too—maybe it’s meant for someone else.

I’m just glad to finally put it out there. It’s time to step into my power.

I’m excited to share this journey with you.
